A man and a woman have been arrested and charged following the recovery of drugs worth around £13,000 in Dumfries.

Police Scotland officers executed a search warrant at a property in the Criffel Drive area of the town around 10.45pm on Friday, 7 November, 2025.

During the search, officers recovered cocaine with an estimated street value of £12,500 and cannabis worth approximately £450. A four-figure sum of cash was also seized.

A 34-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were arrested and have since been charged in connection with the recovery. They have been released on an undertaking to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court at a later date.

Detective Inspector Graeme Robertson said: “This was a significant recovery and reinforces our commitment to targeting those involved in the supply of harmful substances within our communities.

We continue to work in support of the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy, using every tool available to disrupt the activities of those who profit from the trade in illegal drugs.”

Police Scotland said inquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
