A man has appeared in court after a Glasgow shop was robbed and an employee was seriously injured.
Emergency services were called to the store on Hawthorne Street at around 9.05pm on August 16 after reports of a man entering and spraying the 24-year-old male employee with a substance before making off with a sum of money.
The staff member was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Colin McKay appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court charged with assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement, permanent impairment and robbery.
The 31-year-old made no plea and was remanded in custody.
He is due back in court within the next eight days.
