A man has appeared in court charged with the alleged rape of a teenage girl in the bushes at a Glasgow park.
The 16-year-old was reportedly seriously sexually assaulted in Springburn Park between 8.30pm and 9.10pm on June 26.
The teenager was walking near the Moongate on the northeast side of the park when a man allegedly approached and pushed her into nearby bushes.
Hamid Wali appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, charged with one count of rape and two counts of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner.
The 36-year-old, from Glasgow, made no plea and was remanded in custody.
He is due to appear in court within the next eight days.
