A man has been arrested after police seized fireworks that were being “sold to children” in Glasgow.
Officers made the discovery after searching a van in the Drumchapel area around midday on Tuesday.
Police said a significant quantity of fireworks “that were being sold to the general public, including underage children” were seized.
A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the recovery and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
The force confirmed Trading Standards have also been notified.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We remain committed to protecting the public on Bonfire Night and will continue to use all intelligence to identify anyone responsible for the illegal sale or criminal misuse of fireworks.”
