A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 24-year-old whose body was found in a property in North Lanarkshire.
Officers were called to an address on Shiel Gardens in Shotts on the morning of May 9 following reports of a man being found seriously injured.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was named by police as John Cairns.
Officers previously said his death was being treated as unexplained but following a post-mortem examination a murder investigation was launched.
Police confirmed on Thursday that a 39-year-old man had been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.
