Cannabis worth an estimated street value of £500,000 has been seized during a search of a vehicle in Lanarkshire.
Officers stopped the car driving on the northbound M74 near J10, Lesmahagow around 2.30pm on Saturday June 15.
Cannabis worth an estimated street value of £500,000 was recovered.
A 43-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection.
He is due to appear at Lanark Sheriff Court on Wednesday July 10 2024.
Detective Superintendent Steven Elliot said: “This is a significant recovery which will impact heavily on those involved in this type of criminality.
“This operation underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
