A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged hit-and-run in Glasgow, which left a woman dead.
The female pedestrian was at a crossing island on Castlebank Street, near the entrance of Burger King and Starbucks, around 8.45pm on Tuesday, when she was hit.
Emergency services attended, and the woman was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
The car left the scene before police arrival, but has since been located.
A 49-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and an investigation is ongoing.
