A man has been charged after nearly £100,000 worth of illegal drugs were found during a bust in Glasgow.

Police executed a search warrant at an address on Blantyre Street near Kelvingrove Park in the west end of the city at around 9.30am on Wednesday.

Cocaine with an estimated street value of £74,000 and around £18,000 worth of ketamine was recovered in the raid.

A 23-year-old was arrested and charged in connection with the recovery.

He is due to appear in court on Thursday.

Detective Inspector Alan Ferguson, Greater Glasgow Proactive CID, said: “We are committed to tackling the supply and distribution of drugs in our communities.

“Officers regularly carry out warrants and enforcement operations to disrupt this type of activity.

“Information from the public is vital to allow us to do this.

“I’d urge anyone with information or concerns about drug related offences in their area to contact us and we will fully investigate.”
