A man has been arrested over an alleged attempted abduction of a teenage girl in East Renfrewshire.
The 14-year-old was reportedly targeted by two men on Harvie Avenue, Newton Mearns, at around 3pm on Wednesday.
The pair are alleged to have made efforts to persuade the youngster into their car.
Police confirmed on Friday that a 32-year-old man had been charged in connection with the incident.
He is due to appear at court next week.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged by officers in Glasgow.
“It follows an incident on Wednesday, in Harvie Avenue, Newton Mearns where efforts were made by two men to persuade a 14-year-old girl into a vehicle.”
