A man has been arrested following the “unexplained” death of a woman in a Renfrewshire flat.
Emergency services were called to Abbot Street in Paisley on Saturday evening, when a 27-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police launched a probe into the death, which they are currently treating as unexplained, and have arrested a man of the same age.
A spokesman said: “Around 6.20pm on Saturday, police received a report a 27-year-old woman was found unconscious at a flat in Abbot Street, Paisley.
“Emergency services attended and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the death. A 27-year-old man has been arrested.”
