Man charged after £1.4m of cannabis seized by police

A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery.

A man has been charged after police recovered a cannabis cultivation with an estimated street value of £1.4m in Glasgow.

More than 2000 plants were seized at an industrial site in Lochburn Road, Maryhill, around 10am on Saturday.

A 34-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery.

He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.

Detective Inspector Craig McPhail described the recovery as “a significant seizure”.
