A man has been charged after allegedly behaving in an abusive manner and possibly possessing a bladed weapon on board a bus.

Emergency services were called to Glasgow’s Dukes Street near the Forge Shopping Centre at around 8.55pm on Monday following reports of an incident.

Officers arrested a 37-year-old man in connection with the disturbance. He was due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.55pm on Monday, March 24, officers were called to a report of a man behaving in an abusive manner and possibly in possession of a weapon on a bus on Duke Street, Glasgow.

“A 37-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, March 25.”
