A man has been charged following a disturbance involving several men with weapons in a busy residential area of Glasgow.

Armed police were called to Muirshiel Crescent around 7.15pm on Sunday after the incident broke out.

A 19-year-old man was found injured and taken to hospital for treatment. His condition is currently unknown.

A car involved in the incident was found on fire after colliding with several parked vehicles. A police car parked on the road also caught alight as the fire spread.

Police confirmed on Thursday that a 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the disturbance.

He has been released on an undertaking to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.

A 27-year-old man was previously arrested and released without charge as extensive investigations remain ongoing.
