A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing after armed police locked down an area in Paisley.
Emergency services, including firearms officers, were called to a report of a man seriously injured at a property on Blackstoun Road, near Glencoats and St Fergus’ primary schools, at around 7.05pm on Monday.
A 66-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, consistent with being stabbed.
His condition is described as stable.
A 67-year-old man was arrested after being traced at a property in the Westwood Gardens area a short time later.
He has now been charged in connection with the incident and is expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
