Man charged after 'cannabis farm' discovered with drugs worth £150,000

A 47-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection and is due to appear in court.

A man has been charged after police discovered an alleged cannabis farm with drugs worth around £150,000 in Glasgow.

Officers attended an address in Croftend Avenue around 5pm on Saturday, January 18 and were said to have discovered a cannabis cultivation.

Around 150 cannabis plants were recovered, estimated to be worth around £150,000.

A 47-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection.

He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, January 20.

Inspector Christopher Thomson said: “Serious and Organised Crime remains a priority and along with our partners and specialist resources, we are committed to detecting offences and disrupting criminal enterprises.

“We rely on the public to tell provide us with information to help us do so.
