A man has been charged after a car crashed into a house in Rutherglen.

Officers were alerted to the incident on Lochbrae Drive which happened at around 10.50am on Friday morning.

The property was vacant at the time, and no injuries were reported.

Police confirmed a 45-year-old man has been charged with road traffic offences.

A report will be made to the Procurator Fiscal.
