Google MapsA 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of a woman who was pulled from the water at Helensburgh Pier on Friday evening.
The woman, a 25-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency services were alerted at around 5.15pm.
Police sealed off part of the pier as investigations continued. A 28-year-old man was arrested earlier and has now been charged. He will appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of a 25-year old woman in Helensburgh, on Friday, April 23, 2021.
“He is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday, April 26 2021.”
