A man has been charged in connection with attempted murder after a man was “stabbed in broad daylight” in Ayr, police have said.
Officers received a report of a man found seriously injured at around 10am on June 17, on Braeside Road.
Emergency services attended and the 39-year-old was taken to hospital by air ambulance.
Police confirmed on Tuesday that a 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder.
The man is due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court on Tuesday, June 24.
Detective inspector Jamie Carruth previously said: “I’m aware there is information known locally in relation to the person involved in this attack on a man in broad daylight. I’d appeal to anyone who knows something, no matter how significant they think it may be, to come forward.”
