A man has been charged after police negotiators attended a disturbance in Paisley on Friday.

Emergency services were called to a property in the Renfrewshire town at around 3pm following reports of an incident.

Officers have charged a 39-year-old man in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3pm on Friday, October 3, 2025, police received a report of a man causing a disturbance within a property in Paisley.

“Officers, including police negotiators, attended, and a 39-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday, October 6, 2025.”
