STV NewsA man is to appear in court after a shop worker was left with serious injuries after allegedly being sprayed with a substance during a robbery in Glasgow.
A man entered the store on Hawthorne Street at around 9.05pm on Saturday, August 16, and allegedly sprayed the male employee with a substance before making off with a sum of money.
The staff member, a 24-year-old man, was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Police confirmed on Sunday that a 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, August 25..
