A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a “hit and run” in Drumchapel.
Emergency services were called after a 51-year-old man was struck on Dalsetter Avenue in Drumchapel at around 1pm on Monday.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital for treatment, and no other injuries were reported.
A 49-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident on Thursday.
Mark Hughes of Milngavie appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, charged with assault to severe injury, danger of life and attempted murder.
He made no plea and was granted bail.
His next appearance is to be confirmed.
