A man has been killed and a woman is fighting for her life in hospital after a three-car crash in Clackmannanshire.
Emergency services were called to Alloa Road at Park Terrace in Cambus at midnight on Sunday following a collision between a Citroen C1, a Ford Fiesta and an Audi A4.
The 48-year-old backseat passenger of the Citreon died at the scene while both the driver and front seat passenger, both women, were rushed to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
The condition of the front seat passenger is described by medical staff as critical while the driver’s condition is described as stable.
The two occupants of the Audi A4, a man and a woman, were not injured.
“The 32-year-old female driver of the Ford Fiesta has been arrested following the incident,” Police Scotland said.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
The road is now open.
