A man has died after being found injured on a road in a Stirling village.
Emergency services were called to reports of a man found seriously hurt on Glasgow Road in Blanefield shortly before midnight on Monday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.55pm on Monday, July 31, police were called to a report of a man found seriously injured on Glasgow Road, Blanefield.
“Officers attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene .
“Enquiries are ongoing in and around the area to establish the circumstances surrounding his death and how he came about his injuries.
“Anyone with information that may assist our investigation should contact 101 quoting reference 4407 of July 31.”
