A 38-year-old man who was found seriously injured in Uddingston has died.

A man has died after he was discovered seriously injured on a path in South Lanarkshire on Sunday night.

Emergency services were called to General’s Gate, near to Old Glasgow Road, in Uddingston at around 7.35pm on October 6 after they received reports of an injured 38-year-old man.

Ambulance crews took the man to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

No arrests have been made and a police investigation into the incident is under way.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.35pm on Sunday, October 6, 2024, police were called to General’s Gate, Uddingston, where a 38-year-old man was found seriously injured. 

“He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow but was pronounced dead on arrival.

“Officers remain at the scene as the investigation into his death continue.”
