A man has died in hospital four days after an incident in a high rise building in Paisley.

Robert Fisher was left with serious injuries following the incident at a flat on Maxwellton Street at around 5.30pm on July 23.

He was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, however police confirmed the 26-year-old died on Thursday afternoon.

Officers shut down the area between Maxwellton Road and Gordon Street for several hours following the incident.

Two men, aged 26 and 24, were previously arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

They both appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court on Tuesday, July 25.
