A man has died in hospital more than three weeks after he was struck by a car.
Emergency services were called to Carntyne Road in Glasgow at around 8.40pm on March 22 following reports of a pedestrian being knocked down by a silver Volkswagen T-Cross.
Brian Roan, 58, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was in a critical condition.
He succumbed to his injuries on April 16. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is still ongoing.
Road Policing Sergeant Chris McColm said: “My thoughts are with Brian’s family and friends as they try to come to terms with what has happened. We’ll continue to offer them support.
“I’d like to thank everyone who has come forward with information so far and ask anyone who may be able to assist with our investigation, and has not already spoken to police, to contact us. I’m particularly keen to speak to drivers with dash-cam footage of the area around the time.”
