A man has appeared at court accused of being involved in serious organised crime.

Stephen Jamieson, 42, was in the dock on Friday at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

Jamieson faces a total of six charges.

He is alleged to have directed someone to commit a serious offence.

Jamieson is further accused of being involved in serious organised crime.

He is said to have been involved in four charges of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.

Jamieson appeared in court after he was extradited from Dubai on Thursday.

He had been arrested in the United Arab Emirates on September 16, 2025, with three others who have since been released.

The extradition is thought to be the first of its kind from Dubai to Scotland.

Jamieson made no plea on Friday at the private hearing and was represented by his lawyer Linda Findlay.

Jamieson, whose address is in Dubai, UAE, was remanded in custody and committed for further examination by Sheriff Brian Cameron.

He will appear at court again within the next eight days.
