A man has appeared in court charged with attacking a pensioner near a Glasgow primary school.
Police, including armed officers, descended on Auckland Wynd at around 12.10pm on April 28 following reports of a serious assault.
A 77-year-old man was taken to hospital with reported stab injuries.
The area was taped off as part of the investigation, and officers were seen taking photos inside and around a stationary Mercedes vehicle.
Two months on from the attack, police confirmed a 23-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection.
Aidan McTaggart appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, charged with assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement and robbery.
He made no plea and was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
McTaggart is next due to appear in court within eight days.
