Man in hospital after being seriously assaulted in gang attack in Alexandria

A man has been taken to hospital after being attacked on the street by a group of men in West Dunbartonshire.

Emergency services were called to reports of an injured man on Glen Avenue in Alexandria at around 1.45am on Sunday.

The 42-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment.

Officers are reviewing CCTV footage as enquiries into the attack continue.

Detective constable Ross Easton said: “There does not appear to be a motive for this attack and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to contact us with any information.

“If anyone has dash cam or doorbell footage please pass it on as it could help us identity those responsible.”
