A man is in hospital following a crash involving a car and HGV on the M8.
Police were called to the westbound carriageway near junction 7 at Coatbridge around 12.55am on November 26.
A 21-year-old, who was driving a black Corsa, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment while the 59-year-old driver of the HGV was unhurt.
The road was closed for around six hours before reopening at 6.45am.
Sergeant Elaine Scott of the Road Policing Unit said: “Our investigation into this serious crash continues and I would appeal to anyone who saw what happened, or has relevant dash cam footage, to please get in touch.
“The road was closed for around six hours to allow enquiries to be carried out.
“Information can be passed to Police Scotland by calling 101, and quoting reference 0116 of November 26, 2024.”
