An attempted murder investigation has been launched after a man was attacked by a group on Wednesday.
Emergency services were alerted to the serious assault on Glencairn Avenue in Craigneuk at around 11am.
A 34-year-old man was taken to hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries. The attack was carried out by a gang of three men.
Police are treating the incident as attempted murder.
Detective Constable Peter King said: “This was a violent attack which left the victim seriously injured.
“Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I am asking anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch.
“Similarly, anyone with private CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage that could assist our enquiry is urged to contact us.”
