A major road has been blocked in both directions after a one-vehicle crash in Argyll and Bute.

Police were alerted to the crash on the A83, in Ardrishaig, around 8.50am on Thursday.

Both sides of Tarbert Road were completely blocked off, and one lane was later reopened around 10am to allow traffic to pass through.

One man was taken to Mid Argyll Community Hospital, in Lochgilphead, as a precaution.

Police have advised that the open lane will need to be closed again in order to recover the car.

“Emergency services attended and one man was taken to Mid Argyll Community Hospital in Lochgilphead as a precaution.

“The road is partially closed while vehicle recovery takes place.”
