A man who left his brother scarred for life after attacking him with a knife has been jailed for more than two years.
John Jefferson slashed Stephen Jefferson despite the victim insisting he did not want to fight.
The incident took place in a lane near a house in Glasgow’s Pollok area last December after Jefferson thought his brother had been disrespectful to his girlfriend.
The brothers had been watching the Old Firm game with friends before the attack took place.
Glasgow Sheriff court heard that words were exchanged before Jefferson struck his brother with a knife to the left cheek.
The victim was treated at hospital for a facial wound and has been left with permanent scarring.
Jefferson pled guilty to assaulting the victim to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement and was jailed for 28 months.
