A man was taken to hospital following a serious assault in Glasgow.

The incident occurred around 6.40pm on Finnieston Street on Tuesday.

A 38-year-old man suffered serious injuries near to the traffic lights with the Stobcross Road junction.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and later released.

Detective Inspector Sarah Finnigan said: “We are appealing for information and asking anyone who saw what happened, before or after the incident, to get in touch.

“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam footage from around this time.

“If you can assist please contact us on 101, quoting incident number 2980 of Tuesday, March 21, 2023, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
