Man rushed to hospital after 'serious assault' by group

A 32-year-old has been sent to hospital after being allegedly seriously assaulted by a group of men.

Police said the man was walking along Clippers Road at Cowal Drive in Linwood on Saturday at around 10.20pm when he was approached by a number of people.

He was later taken to the Royal Alexandria Hospital, Paisley for treatment but has since been released.

Detective constable Barry Gourley said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident to contact us.

“I am also appealing for anyone who was driving in the area and who may have dash cam footage which could assist with our enquiries to get in touch.”
