A man was left seriously injured after being struck by a car in Ayr.
Emergency services were called to Barns Street at around 8.40pm on Saturday after a pedestrian was struck by a Volkswagen Scirocco.
A 28-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
Police are now appealing for any witnesses into the incident to come forward.
Sergeant Brian Simpson said: “I am appealing to anyone who was driving in the area at the time and witnessed the crash to come forward with information.
“I’d also ask that those with dash-cam footage review this to see if it has captured anything significant that could assist with our investigation.”
