A man has been left injured after reportedly being slashed in a broad daylight street attack.
Police are investigating the incident at Montgomery Street, near The Village in East Kilbride at around 4.30pm on Monday.
Local reports on social media say the victim was assaulted with a knife outside a barber shop.
Pictures of the scene of the attack were shown on a community Facebook page.
A police spokesman said: “We are investigating reports of an assault that took place on Montgomery Street, East Kilbride at 4.40pm on Monday.
“No further details are available at this time and enquires are ongoing.”
