A man will stand trial next year accused of attempting to spit on a procurator fiscal.
Kevin Currie, 31, allegedly assaulted prosecutor Aimee Doran at Glasgow Sheriff Court on June 25 this year.
It is claimed Currie did this while Miss Doran was in the execution of her duties.
Court papers state that Currie also behaved in a threatening or abusive manner at the same time and place.
The charge alleges that he repeatedly shouted and swore.
It goes on to say the accused struck the dock and attempted to leave the dock while gesticulating and uttering abusive remarks.
Currie faces a final charge of allegedly culpably and recklessly spit in a lift at court and expose custody officer Paul Kerr and police constable Gary O’Donnell, both in execution of their duties, to the risk of illness and infection.
He pled not guilty to the three charges today/yesterday at the same court.
A trial was fixed for next July by sheriff Joan Kerr.
