A man was taken to hospital after being assaulted in Glasgow City Centre.

Emergency services were called to the city’s High Street after receiving reports of an assault at around 9.50pm on Saturday.

A 24-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing at this time.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.50pm on Saturday, March 9, 2024, police were called to a report of a man being assaulted in High Street, Glasgow.

“Officers attended and a 24-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he received treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”
