A man has been taken to hospital after being attacked while leaving a taxi in West Dunbartonshire.
The 37-year-old man was leaving a taxi when an unknown man approached and seriously assaulted him on the corner of Brooke Avenue and Miller Road, Alexandria.
The incident happened at around 6.20pm on Tuesday.
The man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment and later transferred to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
Police Scotland is urging anyone with information to come forward.
Detective constable Jack Muir said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident and hasn’t already spoken to police to get in touch.
“I would also ask anyone who was in the area and may have dash cam or private CCTV footage which could assist to contact us.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 2933 of September 9, 2025.”
