Google MapsA man has been taken to hospital following a “serious” attack in a wooded area in East Ayrshire.
Officers were alerted to the assault that happened around 2.20pm on Sunday in a wooded area between Dallowie Road and Dalvennan Avenue, Patna.
Police confirmed that a 46-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.
Detective sonstable Neil Stevenson said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this to contact us.
“We also ask anyone who may have private CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time to come forward.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 1740 of October 13, 2024.
“Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
