A man has been taken to hospital, and a suspect has been charged after an alleged serious assault in Airdrie on Saturday.
Emergency services were alerted to the attack in the South Bridge Street area at around 12.05pm.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment following the incident. Officers have charged a 35-year-old man in connection with the attack.
He is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Monday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.05pm on Saturday, February 14, 2026, we were called to a report of a serious assault on a man in the South Bridge Street area of Airdrie.
“Emergency services attended and he was taken to hospital for treatment.
“A 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection. He is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Monday, February 16, 2026.”
