A man has been arrested in connection with the alleged attempted murder of a 43-year-old man in Renfrewshire.
The victim was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where he remains in a stable condition, following the incident on Renfrew Road in Paisley on Friday night.
A 44-year-old has been arrestioned in connection with the incident, which happened at around 8pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged attempted murder of a 43-year-old man, following an incident on Renfrew Road at around 8pm on Friday, 30 April, 2021.
“The victim was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where he remains in a stable condition.”
“Enquires are continuing.”
