A man has been left injured after being attacked in Argyll and Bute.

The incident took place in the Marine Parade area of Dunoon in the early hours of Monday morning.

The exact time of the assault is not known but a 27-year-old man was found injured around 2.50am and taken to hospital for treatment.

Police are now appealing for information.

Constable David Purdon said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish how the man came to be injured and we are asking anyone who saw something to get in touch.

“If you have private CCTV footage covering the area around Marine Parade please check to see if something has been captured that could help with our investigation.

“In addition, if you were driving in the area please also check dash-cam footage and make contact with us if you can assist with our enquiries.”

Anyone who can help is asked to get in touch with Police Scotland on 101.
