A man has been taken to hospital following a one-car crash in Clydebank.
Emergency services were called to the incident on Great Western Road at around 12pm on Thursday.
An ambulance, special operations response team (SORT), a trauma team and a rapid resuscitation response (3RU) team were sent to the scene.
The driver of the car was taken to hospital for treatment.
The road was closed after the incident and reopened around 4pm.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 12.04pm to attend an incident on Great Western Road, Clydebank.
“An ambulance, a special operations response team (SORT), a trauma team and a rapid resuscitation response (3RU) team were dispatched to the scene.
“One patient was transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Great Western Road in Glasgow is closed westbound between Knightswood Road and Archerhill Road following a crash involving one car, around noon on Thursday, August 28, 2025.
“Emergency services attended, and the male driver was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
The road has now fully reopened.
