A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after he was attacked in Glasgow.

Police say the incident took place on Stravanan Road in Castlemilk at around 3.15pm on Monday, April 21.

The victim, a 31-year-old man, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Detective inspector Jonny MacKinnon, from Cathcart CID, said: “Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this attack are ongoing, however we do not believe there to be any risk to the wider community.

“There will be an increased police presence in the area as the investigation progresses.

“We would ask anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed anything suspicious, or if you may have CCTV or dashcam footage from around the time of the incident, to please come forward.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 1945 of April 21, 2025.

“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
