A man has been taken to hospital after he suffered serious injuries from being “slashed” on Wednesday.

Emergency services were called to Cathcart Road in the southside of Glasgow at around 12.10pm following reports of the injured individual.

A 38-year-old man was transported to hospital for treatment to injuries sustained from being attacked with a blade, STV News understands.

An investigation is ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.10pm on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, we were called to a report of a man seriously injured on Cathcart Road, Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended and a 38-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
