A man has been taken to hospital with “serious” injuries after a farm fire in Dumfries.
Officers were alerted to the incident in the Auldgirth area around 10pm on Wednesday.
Scottish Fire and Rescue staff battled the blaze at the farm and eventually extinguished the fire.
Police confirmed that a 43-year-old man was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary with “serious, but not life-threatening” injuries.
The force are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward, and said enquiries into the fire are “ongoing”.
Detective inspector Graeme Robertson, from Dumfries and Galloway Division CID, said: “Enquiries to establish the full circumstances and the cause of the fire are ongoing.
“Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call police on 101, quoting incident 3764 of February 21, 2024.”
