A teenage girl has been sexually assaulted in a Renfrewshire park.
The 19-year-old was in the park just off Brediland Road in the Foxbar area of Paisley when she was attacked at around 7.45pm on Wednesday.
Police are now looking to trace a man in connection with the incident and have asked anyone who may be able to identify him to contact them as soon as possible.
He is described as being black and in his mid-30s with a heavy build.
They are also keen to speak to anyone else who may have been in the vicinity at the time as they reassure locals that they will maintain a police presence in the area while the case in ongoing.
Detective Inspector Colin MacRitchie said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“I would urge anyone who may have information which could assist our investigation to come forward.
“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101.”
