Police are hunting a man after a teenage boy was raped in a lane in Paisley town centre.
At around 8.15pm on Tuesday, the teen was attacked in Meetinghouse Lane near Paisley Gilmour Street.
The suspect is described as white, around 30 years old, with long brown hair.
He was wearing a black gilet, a light-coloured hooded top, grey jogging bottoms, and black and grey Nike shoes.
STV NewsPolice are appealing for anyone who may have seen two males in the County Square area at around 8pm to come forward.
Officers remain in the area as enquiries continue.
Detective inspector David Hardie said: “This was a terrifying incident for the victim and it’s vital we trace the man responsible.
“I’m appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
“We’re particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen two males, one matching the suspect description, in the County Square area around 8pm.
“I’d also ask drivers with dash-cams or residents with private CCTV or doorbell cameras to check your footage and bring anything of significance to our attention.”
